Privacy Policy — elbow
Last updated: August 20261. Who we are
elbow ("the App") is developed and operated by Aga Drapinska-Tonge. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at hello@byaga.dev.
2. What data we collect
elbow is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not operate any servers that store your information.
Data stored on your device and in your own iCloud (via Apple CloudKit — never sent to us or any third party):
- Your rooms, cleaning tasks, and appliances
- What you've marked done and when (your cleaning history)
- App settings, such as vacation mode
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or crash reports through any third-party service
- Payment details (processed entirely by Apple — we never see them)
3. How your data is stored and synced
Your data lives on your device and syncs through your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit, so your home stays consistent across your own devices. This data sits in your private iCloud storage. We cannot access, read, or retrieve it.
4. Household sharing
If you use household sharing, elbow uses Apple's built-in iCloud sharing to let people you invite see and update a shared home. Sharing is always started by you, managed through Apple's system, and limited to the people you invite. You can stop sharing at any time. This data is exchanged through Apple's infrastructure — not through us.
5. Third-party services
elbow uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit, and syncing and sharing are handled by Apple via iCloud. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for how Apple processes this information.
Apple may also provide us with anonymous, aggregated analytics and crash statistics if you have opted in to sharing these with developers in your iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements). This information is not linked to your identity, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings.
6. Data sharing
We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third party, because we do not collect or hold any of your data in the first place.
7. Data retention and deletion
Because your data is stored in your own device storage and iCloud, you stay in control of it. You can remove local data by deleting the App, and you can manage or delete iCloud data through your device's Settings under your Apple account. Deleting shared data may affect others in a shared home.
8. Children's privacy
elbow is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. It contains no advertising and no public social features.
9. Your rights
Because we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete on request. All of your data is under your control on your own device and iCloud account.
If you are in the UK or EU and believe your privacy rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at elbow-app.com/privacy/ and within the App under Settings.
